Young women need female role models to inspire success. Female role models inspire young women to be more ambitious and aim higher. They motivate, inspire, and make young women feel like they can achieve anything. It would not be wrong to say that female role models are the real heroes of a society. Dr. LaKisha James, a multi-award-winning celebrity, is one of these heroes. She has an associate degree in Interior Design and a Bachelor’s in Management. She is an Interior Designer as well as an Event Host, Mentor, and Global Speaker.
“My name is Dr. LaKisha James. I am the founder of Designer Events by LaKisha and Talks with LaKisha. Designer Events by LaKisha specializes in corporate event planning, event design, and set design for films, and plays. Talks with LaKisha is a talk reality show that discusses topics such as event planning, mentorship, and book collaborations. “I am the recipient of the 2019 “CEO on the Rise” award for the Who’s Who of Urban CEOs. I was nominated for the 2020 “Talented CEO” award. I have co-authored 3 books. My first book, Wake Up Winning No Matter What Because Losing is Not an Option Vol. 2 launched in January 2021. My second book was a multi-author international book project titled “I AM: Releasing the Shame of Narcissistic Abuse and Transforming Financial Poverty to Wealth Beyond Numbers,” launched in April 2021. The book established me as an international bestselling author. The third book, Overcoming Heart Blocks: Inspiring Stories for Healing From Trauma launched on November 1st , 2021.
I was nominated for the World Women’s V.I.S.I.O.N. Awards’ 2021 Global Leadership and Philanthropy Awards. I am the recipient of the 2021 Global Leadership Award. I was inducted into the Marquis Who’s Who in America for 2021–2022. I was featured in the 2022 Marquis Who’s Who of Professional Women publication. I was the set designer for the independent films Saving Nina and Zulu Blood. I am the former Atlanta Chapter Leader for the global women empowerment organization, World Women Conference & Awards (WWCA), the former Executive Director for Times of Expression & Refreshing Ministries (TER Ministries), and the former Editor for Real Women Atlanta Magazine. In September 2021, I received an honorary Doctor of Philosophy in the specialized area of Humanitarianism and Conflict Response. I signed on as the Director of Event Planning for the National Black Mastermind Group in October 2021. I was elected as the Director of Planning for Strong Young Minds of America (SYMOA) in July 2022. I have spoken on several stages and at virtual events. I am featured in the first and second volumes of Who’s Who of Urban CEO’s magazine, EventPlanner.com, VoyageATL magazine, Shoutout Atlanta, Real Women Atlanta magazine, and CanvasRebel magazine. I have made guest appearances on many podcasts,” Dr. James said.
