Winnipeg cops arrest driver in high-speed 2024 crash

A driver has been taken into custody, according to Winnipeg police, in connection with a high-speed crash on St. in October of last year, Mary’s Road near Morier Avenue. Police said that in connection with the incident, which saw a Dodge Charger crash into a business at 158 kilometers per hour after previously traveling at speeds of more than 200 kilometers per hour, a 21-year-old man was arrested and charged with dangerous operation of a conveyance. In the process, the Dodge Charger damaged a street sign, guard rail, and hydro pole. No one was injured in the early morning crash, and the occupants of the vehicle fled on foot before police arrived. According to police, the driver has been given an appearance notice and released.
