Montreal, August 29, 2025 – Soraya Martinez Ferrada, mayoral candidate for the city and leader of Ensemble Montréal, announced Friday that the political party’s campaign slogan will be “Listen & Act.”
Listening and acting are two verbs that have characterized Soraya Martinez Ferrada since the beginning of her political engagement. They also reflect Ensemble Montréal’s approach in all of the city’s boroughs and neighborhoods.
A unifying slogan
Collaborative by nature, Soraya Martinez Ferrada hopes that Montreal’s citizens will stop being constantly pitted against each other, as is currently the case. Indeed, an Ensemble Montréal administration would stop pushing away citizens who have a different vision for the city and would invite them to engage in dialogue.
With several challenges facing Montreal, the time has come for solutions, not bickering. Homelessness, the housing crisis, traffic, and many other challenges require a future mayor to listen to Montrealers, even if they have divergent opinions.
A climate conducive to success
For several years now, a majority of citizens, business people, and partners of the City of Montreal have felt neglected and ignored by the Plante-Rabouin administration. This attitude is harming the city on several levels and preventing it from realizing its full potential.
With Soraya Martinez Ferrada as mayor, everyone would have their place to propose solutions to make Montreal a city where life is good, a humane and prosperous city.

“Whether as a city councilor, MNA, or minister, I have always emphasized listening and action. Consulting citizens, collaborating with partners, and decision-making will finally, after several years, return to city hall. Montreal belongs to all Montrealers, and with my team, we will give them back a city held hostage by Projet Montréal, indifferent to citizens who don’t think like them.” — Soraya Martinez Ferrada, candidate for mayor of the metropolis and leader of Ensemble Montréal.
