Tuesday evening, a 34-year-old woman and her three-year-old son drowned in a residential pool in the Lachine borough of Montreal. According to the Montreal Police Department (SPVM), officers were dispatched to a residence on 20th Avenue near Prévost Street shortly after 9:30 p.m. and discovered both victims unconscious. Authorities claim that they were pronounced dead at the scene despite efforts to revive them. According to the SPVM, no criminal element is suspected. The case has been turned over to the coroner’s office and investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
