Many women have made significant career strides and are now considered role models for the upcoming generation of female professionals in their fields. Kalla Etheredge, a globally renowned figure, is one of these guiding stars. Prichard, Alabama-based Etheredge is an entrepreneur, community advocate, and politician.
Etheredge is the Owner and President of Klassy Pearl Promotions, a well-known marketing and promotion firm. The firm operates in several states, including Florida, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Georgia, Washington, Louisiana, Alabama, and Texas.
Founded in 2016, Klassy Pearl Promotions is expanding quickly while maintaining a solid reputation, which is a testament to Etheredge’s extraordinary leadership and entrepreneurial acumen. She serves as an example of entrepreneurship, which is a crucial tactic for bolstering women’s incomes and increasing their financial autonomy.
Etheredge’s exceptional efforts as a community activist are demonstrated by her previous campaign platform, “Etheredge for Everyone,” a grassroots initiative that focused on political education, community, unity, accountability, and local government reforms. Community Action Organizers, Mobile, AL, the Poor People’s Campaign, Mobile, AL, Women’s March, Mobile, AL, and Black Feminist Future, Washington, D.C., are just a few of the movements she has led and taken part in.
In her capacity as program manager at the Foley Center for Community Service, she oversaw scheduling, handled student recruiting, created and delivered program assessments, and offered curriculum assistance and training. She was also in charge of managing the after-school tutoring program at two middle schools and the Community ESL program.

Etheredge’s career as a politician is truly inspiring. She is a former City Council Candidate looking to join the council in order to improve the City of Prichard. In a recent interview, she stated that she believes voters should choose her because she’s an “independent voice that knows how to get things done.”
Studies show that young women need role models of the same gender to motivate them to succeed professionally. Since young women often face unique challenges and barriers to career advancement in competitive and male-dominated industries, same-gender role models like Etheredge may inspire them to attain notable career success.
