Asalamu alaikum / Peace be upon you all,
With just a few days to go before Ramadan begins, our hearts and thoughts turn to the Most High, whose Divine Mercy we need as we continue to build our families, our lives, and our communities.
And in times of increasing uncertainty, both here and abroad, our unity is more important now than ever.
That is why NCCM is hosting exclusive Community Iftars across the country this Ramadan, and you’re invited.
With the Mercy of the Most Merciful, it is an obligation to take time this Ramadan to think of how to help those around you.
Where war crimes rage on in Gaza, and where it is illegal in one of our provinces to wear a hijab and become a teacher, our commitment to justice and compassion becomes even more vital
At the upcoming NCCM iftars, joined by luminaries like Shaykh Ninowy, we will be working with you to build a future for our children. These iftars are meant to be places where we spend a night in Ramadan figuring out how to make sure Canada stands for human rights and for justice.
Join us this Ramadan to learn from those like Shaykh Ninowy, Shaykh Navaid Aziz, and Ustadh Ubaydullah Evans, to reflect, and to provide us your ideas and input about how we can make Canada better.
This is an exclusive opportunity to hear about the impact of what we’ve been up to over the past year and what’s ahead. This is your chance to be part of the movement shaping our community’s future.
Please come join us. Bring your family and friends. Bring the community spirit that drives the work we do, and that drives the collective solidarity we need to defeat Islamophobia, anti-Palestinian racism, and hate.
The Time is Now! Together, we can benefit collectively from the Month of Mercy. So let’s not miss our chance.
Best regards,
The NCCM Team
