Last week on October 5th, the birthday of the Council of Montreal. A dignified celebration of Eid Milad-ul-Nabi was held on behalf of the local church with full respect as per tradition. A large number of ladies and children participated. The Naat singers, including Taha, Muhammad Uzair and Kamran, created excitement in the gathering by presenting prayers for the blessing of the Prophet.
Maulana Fazeel Qadri, who is responsible for Dawat-e-Islami Canada, highlighted the importance of Milad-ul-Nabi in his speech. While Muhammad Abdullah, a student of Faizan Medina from Saskatoon, highlighted the importance of the birth of the Prophet and the virtue of celebrating Milad-ul-Nabi in the English language. In the end, Principal Ustad of Jamia Al-Madinah Canada, Shahid Iqbal Madani, gave his insightful address in which he pointed out the conspiracies that try to spread misunderstandings among the people regarding the celebration of Milad-ul-Nabi and under the guise of innovation and polytheism. Criticizing the joys of celebrating the Nabi Karim’s birthday, he advised to celebrate the celebrations of Miraj-ul-Nabi by celebrating the Nabi Kareem’s birthday and to make the children aware of the life of the Nabi Kareem.
