Dear TIAC Members,
Fall is already off to a busy and exciting start at TIAC. Our team have been hard at work connecting with members, partners, and government leaders to keep tourism front and centre in Canada’s economic and community conversations.
Last month’s One Hill of a Party was a tremendous success, a true celebration of the people and businesses driving our visitor economy forward. The evening brought together Parliamentarians and industry leaders to highlight tourism’s vital role in every region of the country.
During the event, we launched Local Impact, TIAC’s new interactive advocacy tool that highlights how tourism supports jobs and businesses in every riding across Canada. It’s a powerful way to demonstrate a simple truth: tourism matters everywhere.
As we head into October and November, all eyes are on Tourism Congress. Our flagship event promises an engaging program filled with thought-provoking sessions, hands-on workshops, and plenty of opportunities to connect and collaborate. I encourage you to join us as we discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of Canada’s tourism industry.
It’s been a privilege to serve as TIAC’s Interim CEO during this time of transition and renewal. The passion, dedication, and creativity I’ve witnessed across this sector are truly inspiring. As I pass the torch to Sébastien Benedict, I know TIAC is in excellent hands to continue advancing our shared vision for a strong, sustainable, and competitive tourism industry.
