Dr. Asma was just named one of the Global 200 Women Power Leaders for 2025. Given that the logistics industry has traditionally been perceived as male-dominated, the significance of highly accomplished female leaders like Dr. Asma cannot be overstated.
Dr. Asma is the Managing Director of Moon Group Oman, an award-winning logistics and supply chain firm. Established in 1997, The Moon Group LLC is a well-known Omani firm, renowned for its diversified portfolio and commitment to excellence. Through its subsidiaries, Moon Express Cargo and Moon Enterprises, the group excels in logistics, facility management, and specialized services. Moon Express Cargo offers reliable global courier solutions and sophisticated mailroom management, while Moon Enterprises delivers tailored cleaning and maintenance solutions for commercial and industrial clients.

Dr. Asma has established herself as a renowned educator in addition to her excellent career as an entrepreneur. Before going into business, she was a senior lecturer at Middle East College (MEC) from 2014 to 2023. Since 2023, she has been a lecturer at Sultan Qaboos University. She obtained a master’s degree in Applied Linguistics and TESOL from Newcastle University (UK) and a PhD in Higher Education Research Evaluation and Enhancement from Lancaster University (UK).
