Due to a wildfire, authorities in southeastern Alberta have issued an emergency alert. The alert says the fire is east of the community of Dunmore, and that it threatens residential homes.
It also advises people to seek shelter in an open area free of trees, plants, and flammable structures. Anyone in the immediate area of the fire is being told to evacuate by taking Range Road 4, which runs south of Highway 1. if it is safe to do so, Dunmore is approximately 275 kilometers southeast of Calgary.
